First Full Week of Summer Term
First full week back ends with sun to welcome the Bank Holiday weekend.
It has been lovely to see the children enjoying their learning again this week. There is nothing quite like the cheering of children enjoying their playtime in the sunshine. No sooner have we had a full week back, we enter into a Bank Holiday weekend, so please remember we are closed on Monday 2nd May, reopening on Tuesday 3rd May.
Our new Phonics package "Little Wandle" has arrived and staff, as well as volunteer PTFA members have been working together to prepare the resources, which sadly did not come pre-cut and organised. We are all really looking forward to this new approach and will be able to explain it all to you soon, as there may be some slight changes to how we teach Phonics and Reading. Schools now have to be faithful to one synthetic systematic phonics approach, so the quality of our phonics will improve even more.
I hope you all have seen the Summer events' timetable and, like me, you are truly looking forward to this jam-packed term. If you get a chance this weekend pop along to Martham Festival, where you will be able to see a scarecrow designed and built by our Junior pupils. Orm the Viking is somewhere in the village, so I challenge you to see if you can find him.
Have a lovely weekend everyone and be safe.
